SAPPHIRE topping-out ceremony

At 8:30 pm on the evening of 30 September 2015, about three hundred guests and, of course, the architect witnessed a quite special topping-out wreath rise above SAPPHIRE, an illuminated form characterising the building created by Daniel Libeskind.

Even now, SAPPHIRE is seen to be a landmark in the development of new Berlin. Completed in the autumn of 2016, it will become one of the characteristic buildings in the north of Berlin-Mitte, accompanying the growing metropolis on its path to a resplendent future.
